Dear Cal Family,
Thank you for visiting our Cal Athletics Fund website. We have worked diligently to create an informative resource to use as you consider your giving options to Cal Athletics.
We value your generosity and aim to not only provide you with detailed information pertinent to your donations, but to also keep you abreast of news affecting philanthropy at Cal Athletics as well as updates within the Cal Athletics Fund staff.
In light of our website launch, I would like to formally announce several hires and staff transitions within the Cal Athletics Fund office.
I’m pleased to welcome both Bri Cuozzo and Nikol Allison to our team. Bri joins our staff as our Administrative Assistant. She hails from Orange County and comes to us from the University of California, Riverside where she worked in the Chancellor’s office. Nikol is our new Associate Director of Development for Special Events and Donor Hospitality, coming to us from Cal State Long Beach University. Look out for Nikol at our donor events and be sure to welcome both Bri and Nikol to Cal whenever you meet them!
As we welcome new team members, we also say goodbye to teammates who have successfully served Cal with pride and effort. Zack Madonick recently became a new Assistant Athletics Director for Development at the University of Nevada, Reno. We will miss him but look forward to following his career at his Alma Mater. Similarly, Alicia Rowell will be leaving Cal Athletics to become Vice President with the Aim at Melanoma Foundation. While we are thrilled for Alicia as a colleague and a friend, we are saddened to be losing her leadership and wisdom. We will miss her expertise as a professional, and are heartened that she will still be in the Bay and as part of the Cal Family.
We are currently recruiting to fill Zack’s vacant position. Still, I’m excited to share that Megan Glasson has accepted a new role in our office as Director of Development, Major Gifts after three years as leader of our Stewardship & Communications team. I also happily announce Matt Honerkamp’s promotion to Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts.
I am aware that these recent departures and transitions may present some inconveniences for our donors and season-ticket holders. I know, however, that we will maintain and strengthen our relationships with you no matter who sits in the Cal Athletics Fund office. Your Cal stories and your allegiance to Cal deeply matter to me and my team. As your conduit to the current Cal student-athlete experience and stewards of your investments in Cal Athletics, we respect your loyalty and look to serve you as best we can.
Thank you for your commitment to our 875 student-athletes. I look forward to seeing you this Fall!
Associate Athletics Director, Development
